The series is set in the year 1920, during the period of Japanese colonialism in South Korea. The people of the last dynastic kingdom of Joseon, who don’t have much to survive, are forcefully expelled to Japan. Some of them moved to Gondo, a part of northern China.
People from different life stories gather together to protect their home land. They rebelled against the Japanese colonial army and set off a war against them.
The series shows the battle between Japanese troops, the Korean Independence Army, hitmen, bandits, and Joseon migrants.
Actors Kim Nam-Gil, Seohyun, Yoo Jae-Myung, Lee Hyun-Wook, and Lee Ho-Jung are playing various characters in the movie.
The series is directed by Hwang Jun Hyeok and written by Han Jeong Hoon.
The series will be released on September 22, 2023, on Netflix.
