The series is set in the fictional city of Jungjin. There is a group of four people who hunt down evil spirits and are known as the Counter. Each of them has their own special supernatural power. They always remain undercover and work as employees at a restaurant.
One day, while encountering evil spirits, one of the counters dies. The spirit of counter-possession possesses the body of a disabled schoolboy named Mun.
Mun starts to notice changes in his physical condition and starts getting dreams of the dead counter. He starts to investigate his dream and finds thrilling truths. It is the start of his mysterious journey towards the dark secret of the Jungjin.
Actors Jo Byeong kyu, Yoo Jun sang, Kim Se jeong, Yeom Hye-ran, Ahn Suk-hwan, and Yoo In soo are playing lead roles in the series.
The story of the series is written by Yeo Ji na, Yoo Seon-dong, and Kim Sae-bom. The series is co-directed by Yoo Sun-dong and Park Bong-sub.
