Triptii Dimri was questioned if it made her uncomfortable to be referred to as India’s ‘crush’ and risk having her acting neglected. Here’s her response.
Triptii Dimri, who has become a national sensation after the release of Ranbir Kapoor‘s Animal (2023), has spoken out against being labelled India’s ‘crush’. The actor is preparing for the premiere of Bad Newz, which co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. On Friday, she attended the trailer premiere event in Mumbai and was asked about her ‘national crush’ status.
The actor was asked if this bothered her. She stated, “In my experience, fortunately, I would like to thank God, because in my experience, it has been the other way around, as many films I have done in my career, whether they are older films that I did earlier or the ones that have recently been released, I have received a lot of love from my audience. People have enjoyed and discussed my work.
Triptii Dimri went on to say, “When I first started in the profession, I wanted people to talk only about my work. Fortunately, when my pictures were released, they discussed my work. I believe that these things push us actors to perform better in life and to continue honing our art, and I consider myself extremely fortunate in that regard.”
Triptii Dimri, who has appeared in films such as Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala, rose to prominence with her appearance in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. She played Ranbir’s love interest, Zoya, in the action picture starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Ranbir Kapoor., among others.
She will next appear in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, alongside Kartik Aaryan. The third installment of the successful franchise, directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Vidya Balan, is scheduled to be released in theatres on Diwali 2024.
