Varun Dhawan reviewed the Malayalam popular film Aavesham, starring Fahadh Faasil, on Instagram Stories. Varun Dhawan invited fans to watch the movie on Prime Video after sharing a teaser clip for it.

“Ranga bro always keeps his word,” says the reel of Fahadh Faasil from Aavesham that Varun Dhawan posted. In a pivotal moment from the movie, which is featured in the video, Fahadh Faasil‘s character defends three college students he has taken under his wing. Varun Dhawan shared it and added, “#aaveshamonprime.” Everyone who like films would enjoy this one immensely! #primebae @primevideoin.

Aavesham, which was directed by Jithu Madhavan, is about three college students named Aju (Hipzster), Bibi (Mithun Jai Shankar), and Shanthan (Roshan Shahnavaz). These students are being severely abused by Kutty (Midhutty) and his cronies, so they turn to Ranga (Fahadh), a local troublemaker, for assistance. In an attempt to win over Ranga and exact retribution on Kutty, they overreach and put themselves in awkward circumstances.

A Catholic priest from Kerala recently attacked the movie for “promoting violence and alcohol use,” and the song Illuminati for “destroying values.” In addition, Bishop Joseph Kariyil attacked the popular movie Premalu and Manjummel Boys for featuring scenes in which characters smoke and drink while giving a speech at a children’s event in Kerala.
