Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan‘s commercial blockbuster, ‘Ghilli‘, is celebrating its 20th anniversary today, April 20. On the occasion, the film has re-released in selected theatres across Tamil Nadu. Several videos of fans celebrating the feat have surfaced on social media.

About Ghilli Movie

Ghilli is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language sports action film directed by Dharani and produced by Sri Surya Movies. The film stars Vijay in the lead role, alongside Trisha, Prakash Raj. It is a remake of the 2003 Telugu language film Okkadu. The film is based on a Kabaddi player who goes to Madurai to participate in a match.

Actors Trisha and Prakash Raj shared their excitement on the re-release. Trisha wrote, “If this is not coming full circle I don’t know what is! Woke up to FDFS BLOCKBUSTER vibes AGAIN. 2004-2024 (sic).”
