The movie follows the story of Jack Russell. He inherited a curse that transforms him into a werewolf on every full moon night.
After the death of Ulysses Bloodstone, five experienced monster hunters are invited to Bloodstone Manor. Ulysses widow named Verusa, invited them for the selection of the new leader. Jack Russell is one of these five hunters. They have to participate in a competitive hunt to determine their new leader. Only a powerful candidate will win the hunt and become the new leader. Ulysses daughter named Elsa, also arrives to compete for the bloodstone. Verusa doesn’t want her to take part in the deadly competition. She warns her against doing so.
The hunt begins in a large maze on the grounds of the manor. A monkey named Ted has been implanted with bloodstones in the maze. Hunters have to find Ted and rescue the bloodstone from him. Ted is a friend of Russell. Russell wants to find Ted first and save him before he gets into an encounter with Elsa. During their encounter, one of the hunters is killed by Elsa. And she acquires the bloodstone.
Russell and Ted makes a plan to escape from the maze. Russell starts to search for Elsa to get the bloodstone from her. Meanwhile, Ted kills the rest of the remaining hunters. Russell successfully finds Elsa and gets the bloodstone from her. But when he touches the stone, he feels a powerful awakening within him. This gives rise to the monster present with Russell.
What will happen when Russell turns out to be a wolf? Will Russell and Ted be able to escape from the maze? What will happen to Verusa and Elsa? Will there be any end to the inherited curse of Russell?
Actors Gael García Bernal,Laura Donnelly,Harriet Sansom Harris,Kirk R. Thatcher,Eugenie Bondurant, Leonardo Nam, and Daniel J. Watts are playing key roles in the movie, with various other actors in supporting roles.
Warewolf by Night in Colour is directed by Michael Giacchino. The story of the movie is written by Heather Quinn. The production of the movie is done by Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Brad Winderbaum under Marvel Studios banner.
Previously the movie was released in black and white versions. This time Warewolf by Night is being re-released in the coloured version.
The movie is released on October 20, 2023, and will stream on Disney+.
